Eli Sutherland is an award-winning poet, writer, and creative consultant living on Wurundjeri Country. They are a non-binary, queer, disabled creative, the Festival Director of Trans Book Festival, the Treasurer of Overland and Readers and Writers Against the Genocide, and studying a Master of Arts (Writing and Literature) at Deakin. Awarded a 2026 Varuna Residential Fellowship for their fantasy novel, No One Without the Other, Eli has also been a finalist, shortlisted for, or won numerous writing awards. Eli’s writing has appeared in ABC, Cordite, Mascara Review, StylusLit, Swamp Magazine, Left Brain Media, ScratchThat, Queer Out Here, and more.
